Caring for your Boston terrier
Boston terriers are great family pets. They get along well with kids and other household pets. Due to their small size and easy disposition, they are usually easy to take care of. Boston terrier care is not a hard chore to do especially if you know the basics. Here are some reminders for you.
Be ready to be a little patient in housebreaking your Boston terrier. Housebreaking means training a pet to urinate or defecate outside the house or in a designated area. Boston terriers, like pugs, tend to have a specific mindset on what they want to do, so expect to spend four to six months of potty training before they will do it on their own.

Another thing to remember about Boston terrier care is to brush their coat with a firm bristle brush. They do not shed as much as pugs or long-haired breeds, but you still want to pay attention to its fur to keep it in top shop. Wipe his face daily with a wet cloth, taking care to wipe gently around the eyes. Being small dogs, they do not need a lot of exercise and are happy with short walks around the block. However be careful of not overstressing him, because Boston terriers have short muzzles which make breathing a little harder for them. Also because of this, they are sensitive to hot and cold weather. They have a lot of similarities with pugs, especially in terms of daily activity and tolerance to a hot or cold environment. Another basic tip includes checking with your veterinarian if your Boston terrier has completed all his vaccinations and booster shots. Also ask the doc about proper diet for the dog, flea and tick control shampoos, deworming solutions, and others.
Boston terrier care is a simple task to do, what with these cute little dogs that are out to steal your heart.
