Miniature Terrier Puppies are smaller versions of the original Terrier puppies. Two of the examples of miniaturized Terriers are the Miniature Bull Terrier and the Miniature Fox Terrier.
Miniature Bull Terriers may be mistaken for a completely different dog but really, as their name suggests, they are still the same breed of dog, only smaller. They used to be bred so small that they almost looked like Chihuahuas but currently, there is a standard of no less than 10 inches of height for these Miniature Terrier Puppies. Though their height range is relatively fixed, their weight varies from 20 to 35 pounds.
Like the regular Bull Terriers, these puppies, too, require very minimal grooming. Two or three times a week of brushing is sufficient to keep their fur in order. Their fur does not tangle like those of Yorkshire Terriers because they are short.
However, unlike the Miniature Bull Terrier, the Miniature Fox Terrier is a lot more different than the original Fox Terrier. In Australia, where it originated, it is being called Tenterfield Terrier instead of its popular nickname, Mini Foxie. They claim that the Mini Foxie is not really a smaller version of the standard Fox Terrie but a different breed of a Terrier dog.
These Miniature Terrier Puppies are generally loving and loyal to their masters. They are active most of the time and are consistent entertainers. They are also able to get along with other animals but should be guarded carefully because they tend to attack dogs that are much bigger than they are.
